Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has claimed that Russia amassed nearly 100,000 troops near his country’s border as concerns over an invasion continue to mount.

Zelenskyy said that the action made it clear to the world "who really wants peace and who is concentrating nearly 100,000 soldiers at our border" during a video speech broadcast Wednesday on his website.

Russia has dismissed any suggestions of an attack as inflammatory, instead complaining about increased activity by NATO in the region, Reuters reported.

American officials consulted European allies on the situation, warning that Russia could attempt to invade the country in the near future.

Satellite images released Nov. 8 showed an estimated 90,000 Russian troops gathered at the Ukrainian border, prompting House Republicans to petition President Biden to deploy troops to the region. -

Should the U.S. commit U.S. forces to fight for Ukraine if Russia invades?

I say no. What do you say?

I say let them sort it out on their own, & if the World feels uncomfortable with their activity in that area, dial 9-1-1 UN, but as far as the US needing to be involved......America is always available for consultation in such matters, but the heavy lifting is the responsibility to those who feel the most insecure.....Uncle Sam's Candy will no longer be available due to local squabbles .....

I sure hope our bumbling president, or the people who tell him what to do, don't let him bumble his way into a war in Ukraine.

Ukraine would not survive a war because a large component of its population is Russian which creates a huge risk of internal insurgents during fighting with Russia.

So far, Russia has only taken that territory where it has majority support. Russia would be unlikely to take territory where it is opposed by the population because that creates a huge expense in administering and controlling a hostile population.

The USA should not involve itself in defense against a Russian invasion.

I agree that the US should not get involved directly. It wouldn't bother me if we funneled weapons to Ukraine, but that's it. If foreign troops are to be deployed to Ukraine, they should be European troops, not U.S. troops.

Europe is not interested in fighting Russia. They get most of their oil and gas from Russia.

Just like the US was not interested in the place 95% of the 9/11 bombers came from, i.e. Saudi.

I say the US shouldn't get involved

but the US's military industrial complex gives to much money to both sides of politics for that to be very realsitic

Just as an aside, i watched a really good movie on Stan the other night about the genocide in the Ukraine under Stalin, or the Holodomor. Called 'Bitter Harvest'. Recommend it.

At whose border did he say? Isn't that Russia's border too?

Russia has dismissed any suggestions of an attack as inflammatory, instead complaining about increased activity by NATO in the region, Reuters reported.
In other words ....... the Americans (and their minions) are amassing their military at Russia's border. Well, call it Ukraine's border if you insist but it's a very long way from New York City and Wahington DC. According to my map anyway.

Should the U.S. commit U.S. forces to fight for Ukraine if Russia invades? What do you say?
Take a guess.

The question here ought to be, 'Should Russia commit more forces to the border if America/NATO seem to be poised for an invasion of Russia à la Cuba, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Libya, Syria, Grenada, Bosnia, Afghanistan, etc?' Yes, that's the real question.
