Hmmmm we went for a drive, ended up in Strathalbyn High St, home of four antique shops {honestly don’t know how that happened, Siri must have influenced the satnav) I saw a “waterfall” kitchen dresser, 1300mm (≈ 4') and fairly high.
Waterfall means the top shelf is deeper, the next shelf not as deep, etc. Quite high so tho not that wide can still put a fair bit of stuff in it. The cabinet underneath can serve as sideboard. $1950, depending on how real estate developments in Tassie go I will buy that soon. Because it isn’t all that wide can have pan and broom cupboards etc. As often happens, the lower shelf of the cabinet has no floor. Can rig one up easy enough. Shopkeeper happy to keep the dresser in her shop as display shelving until I move to Tassie,
That was nice. Next stop was when the sweat poured out.
Shop is closing down yet there was new stock—stuff from her house now can fit in the shop.
She has one of these steamrollers where you can put water in the tank, firelighters in a tray that shuts—steamroller eventually rolls under its own, errrr, steam. $600 and I WANT IT! LOL! Be cool tho!
First shop I went to has two chimney pots, easy 1.2m/4' high, decorative rim, put on either side of path into back or front garden (cement in place I think) put a big pot inside with some plants in it—look nice. They are a bit fragile tho “chalky” and I would buy these in Tassie. Second shop had two iron pot holders, 1/4 the price of the chimney pots. Might get them.
