Just after I opened my HBS Big W advertised Coopers kits WAY too cheap. I drove to the nearest BigW, loaded six kits into my trolley. They were REALLY unimpressed when I asked if a bulk discount applied LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!

Now I may not have power for a few days—elect firm will lend me a generator which is better than nothing, that or ice in the car fridge I suppose. Will take my gas cookers with me in case.

Oh dear, lots of granite boulders and some mine waste. Will need someone wth an excavator to level the block and dump loam where the trees are to go!

How often do you go there?

Lol I've got an excavator, shame it's the other side of Australia...

LOL! Yeah. I wonder if they put the shed on the road reserve next to my block—no road there, it looks just like a vacant block.

Have not visited the block yet. Be there Saturday.
power should be on and there is water already.

Monday or Tue—internet will get connected.

Wow that's a big move, My friend bought a farm sight unseen in QLD while working in Kenya.

It worked out well, I hope yours will as well👍

If there is a hire place nearby see what a weekend deal on a dingo is worth, they are about 375 bucks friday to monday here and you get an auger/bucket/chaindigger etc with it so can do all the jobs at your own pace without paying someone 100bucks+ an hour to sit around.

how good is the dingo at digging down into the soil? I've heard tell they're good for spread soil and that's about it

If you are only planting tree's you can bore a hole into the ground with the auger no worries, but if you are trying to dig say a pond into hard clay you are better off hiring a little 1.5 t excavator. we once did a 2km trench from the river through clay to bury a 2inch waterline with just a little dingo, took us a full weekend.

I did some gate posts at a farm up the road with my auger on my 3t excavator though rock, took 45min per 300mm hole 900 deep but it was like a huge drill hole though the rock when finished

I was worn out and I reckon the tungsten teeth probably lost a bit of bite as well...

Only problem with all the doxxing arseholes getting around is that im not comfortable putting pictures up that can be used to dox myself.

You must be excited about getting onto the block of dirt ay?

I remember when I started with my place, just guinea grass 5foot high and thats it, no power, no water, no septic, no shade just grass. took a long time but I have got it pretty well sorted now.

thanks. I want to cut away and level a section of my front yard to build a second driveway. As my house is up on a hill, and the slope runs from right to left across the front, I'd only have to cut away up to a meter deep on one side.

Probably better off hiring a little excavator from Kennards or whoever for that, also gotta move the dirt somewhere if you have too much. I hate paying contractors if I can do it myself

4.00am, having a cup of coffee. Entry to Vic and now Tassie arranged/approved.

Empty the fridge, turn it off, prop door open. Some pancetta cooked in oven, with slice of bread and a tomato—lunch or brekky on the way. Pull all plugs out of the sockets, disconnect TV aerial.
