Fencing/espalier/shed guy will buy and install set of shelves and a bench in the shed. Saves me wasting time klutzing around, time I don’t have. He is actually installing espalier on HIS block.
My back already hurts just thinking about the loam, fertiliser and compost to be carted around and dug in.

Not many weeks until I am off to Melbourne. Water is connected to my block and power will be connected on Dec 3rd. Internet will be connected on the 13th and the garden shed will be erected the week before I arrive.
I have created a MyGov account, linked that to Medicare so my vacc certificate, double AZ, is then accessible on my phone. I will get tested for COVID the day before I leave and the result of the test will also be linked to MyGov. Apply for an entry permit the day before I leave. Have the Vic entry permit. Dunno what else I could do re COVID and entry to Tasmania.
Heh, will have to eat before boarding (which I do anyway, Spirit of Tas food is expensive and poor) and bring a stubby of beer with me—we have to stay in our cabins the whole trip. Set my phone to wake me 5.34 as usual—time for a leisurely shower before heading to my car when my deck is called—I presume no coffee will be served? Fuck, will have to get some somewhere in Devonport! Hmmm
Drive to my block, unpack a heap of shit, drive to Launceston for food for lunch and dinner, will need a proper shop a day or two later—the BrassMonkey car fridge needs to be horizontal and stable for 7 hours before switching it on. The next day will be busy, not sure if I can do the big shop then. Saturdays will buy food at the Launceston Farmers Market plus preprepared meals from some shops.

So is that a permanent move Monk or just preparing for later on. Are you living in the shed on the block?
Trying to prepare a schedule of work. Not that easy this time, relies on other people to do things. Have agreed dates but still. Going to have my trees brought up as early as possible so will need to build a wallaby-proof enclosure to keep them safe until the fence is up. Getting the trees early means I can spray them. a couple times before I plant them. Neem oil, Charlie Carp, kelp powder & beneficial bugs etc, make the trees strong and healthy.
They don't miss you... gone are the days of standard mineral oil at 15 dollars for 5 liters, now its synthetic at 100 dollars for 5 liters.

Leaving this weekend. Wake at 4.00am (alarm clock, clock-alarm-radio and phone going off at 2 minute intervals will do the trick. Leave 4.30am, hopefully before most of the trucks. First stop Tintinara truck stop, pit stop and coffee, Nhill for a pit stop. Horsham to refuel, eat some brekky, turn or two around May Park, pit stop: next stop Ball-a-rat: if running late will refuel there else I do that in Rockbank (not called Rockbank on the inbound side but that is where I will refuel and run my mind over the route into Port Melbourne. Should get to the S.of.T parking lot by 3.00pm—that is when traffic, even on weekends, gets heavy. Eat there, get some beer, check in and (hopefully) drive onto the Spirit of Tasmania. Fuck COVID anyway!

that sounds almost as bad as my having to work today. Sometimes I hate xmas.
Luckily I've only two more sundays before I get my weekends back
