SA Health says an additional 22 people have died with COVID-19 over the last two months, as the state today recorded 4776 more cases and the number of people in hospital with the virus reached a new record.
SA Health said a short time ago that monthly data released from births, deaths and marriages shows an additional 22 people in South Austrlaia passed away with COVID-19 between May 3 and July 18 this year.
The new deaths consist of five women in their 80s, nine women in their 90s, two women over 100, two men in their 70s, a man in his 80s, two men in their 90s and a man over 100.

It brings South Australia’s COVID-19 death toll to 596.
SA Health also reported 4776 new cases today, up from 4172 reported on Tuesday and 4053 on Monday.
The number of people in hospital with the virus – which includes people hospitalised for other reasons – has jumped from 282 yesterday to 323 today.
Today’s hospital numbers are above Monday’s COVID hospitalisation record of 306.
There are currently 11 people in intensive care and one person on a ventilator.
