The Tamil family at the centre of a four-year immigration battle have received permanent visas, ending a community-driven campaign against their deportation.

Priya Nadaraja, Nades Murugappan and their daughters Kopika and Tharnicaa have been living in Biloela in regional Queensland since June, after the new Labor government granted them bridging visas.

The family had spent four years in immigration detention after their visas expired in 2018.

The ABC has confirmed the family was visited by the Department of Home Affairs team at their Biloela home today and told they had been granted permanent visas.

โ€œthe execrable Peter Dutton who oversaw this disaster, a
man with the compassion of a cane toad, and the vitriol to match.โ€

Come on, stop hiding it, tell us what you really think of Peter Dutton!

Dutton is leading the liberal party into obscurity. They are fast becoming irrelevant in the grand scheme of things and if Dutton doesn't start listening to the moderates instead of the extremes, the libs will go the way of the democrats

Now let's hope Medicare can pick up the tab for all of the counselling they'll all need.

The kids especially.

The racist cunts aren't gonna be happy.
What about the Scottish family that have lived, worked and paid taxes for about 10 years being forced to leave the country!
They arrived here under the skilled migration act and simply needed to work for an employer for at least 3 years before being eligible to apply for residency.

But due to being employed by SME Companies that conveniently went broke to avoid being responsible for the warranty work.

Each time this family found another employer, they had to restart the 3 year qualification period besides paying once again for a visa

They weโ€™re forced to pay for their child education and the family medical bills.

This scum bag Biloela family cost the taxpayers millions and got permanent residency; it amounts to that residency qualification is based on the burden on the taxpayer.

Albo simply has discredited the eminent judges who found this family as being not justifying being granted residency.

The Biloela family cost taxpayers nothing, the Libs who kept them in detention did.
