Abortion—Roe v Wade

States now have the 'last say' regarding the rules relating to Abortions in America. Beware of false 'fear mongering' from the left, but I believe as I've always believed, that the fear tactics of the Left will be almost as obscene as abortion itself.

I know that the reversal of Roe will not save all the unborn, but the decision will be back in the hands of the local state communities, where ALL abortion issues will be best decided.......by the People.

That said many hundreds of unborn human beings will be spared from the hands of Abortionist Killers across our GREAT LAND............they have been already, & they will be all throughout the distant future!!!

Abortion should be the decision of one person and one person ONLY. The mother.

Why don't you let 'the people' decide whether or not you have sex or have a wank? Afterall, imagine all the potential little 'babies' being killed every time you do. Ohh wait, thats different, that affects you so we can't have that

What a load of biased bollocks!

Will women be protected in states that are gung ho on abortion laws?

You'd have to be naive to think so. Various states have tried to make it very difficult for women to get a regulated abortion before Roe v Wade was rescinded. This caused women to seek alternative routes. These states had unsuccessfully tried to prosecute them.

Dream Jockey now thinks these states will now protect these women from prosecution after Roe v Wade was shot down. Dream on.

If they just focus on those who assist in obtaining or actually carrying out an abortion it does two things:

1. Gives women the narrative that they are incapable of deciding for themselves what is the right thing to do for themselves. They have to be paternally controlled by the state. Phuck off!

2. Forces them to return to backyard abortions, which endages their lives or health. Phuck off, again!

Try as you might Dream Jockey, your pig is still the same pig regardless of the lipstick you put on it. It's an unconscionable and unneeded overreach by the state.

I bet if the state infringed on your reproductive rights, you'd be singing a different tune. :stoopid

When America actually is serious with saving the little lives that actually made it out of the womb - the school kid, say from school shootings - then maybe this abortion stuff can be taken as a genuine attempt at saving lives.

IVF could be caught by the evil antiabortion laws:

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/feat...bryo-laws-could-make-starting-a-family-harder

A niece of mine had an ectopic pregnancy so can not conceive naturally. What some of these clowns want to do is let even ectopic pregnancies proceed “to term” (as if!) and prevent IVF—life begins at conception, even if conception is in a petri dish! Have to implant ALL embryos according to these kooks!

So my niece would have died unnecessarily or not have been able to become pregnant again.

(Her hubby was hilarious, talking of having to jack off into small plastic bags :) )

IUDs could also be outlawed by these ridiculous pricks!

I think what upsets me the most, is listening to you brag about how proud you are about your Constitution being the law of the land. And yet you totally ignored/disobeyed it. And, then you dared the government to do anything about it. You use the Constitution when it suits you(2nd Amendment), and ignore it when it doesn't(Roe vs Wade). If not for a semantics loophole in the Constitution(abortion not mentioned), the Trump and the Bush's right-wing looney justices couldn't overturn this 50 year landmark decision. This was the tactics of the right! Now, women today no longer have the same freedom, that their mothers enjoyed.

If you think that even one pregnant woman who wants to end her pregnancy, won't find a way, then you live in your own reality distortion field.

Antiabortion activist are nothing but fear-mongers. They live and breathe on terms like "killing unborn humans", "murdering helpless babies". What fear-mongering messages do prochoice activist make? The right of choice? When is an abortion appropriate? Legal ramifications of medical abortions? Possible indemnity claims if the mother dies, because she was forced to endure a pregnancy she didn't want? Are these the fear-mongering examples you're talking about?

You don't have a Constitution anymore. You just have 50 Federations. Each does what ever it pleases. You have a "dissected" country.

As the maternal death rate zooms because of the restrictive anti-abortion laws these states will find themselves with economies going down the toilet as businesses and smarter people relocate leaving only the poor and high unemployment.

I read similar stuff to the below immediately after Dobbs, thought it would be resolved with a bit of common sense but nope:

The pain from Annie England Noblin's rheumatoid arthritis was so severe that she couldn't lift her hands above her head. Playing with her children hurt. Even writing — her job — was painful.

Her rheumatologist prescribed her twice-weekly doses of methotrexate, a drug taken by more than 1 million US patients, and she started to feel better.

It wasn't the complete turnaround that many chronic-pain patients wish for, but it helped Noblin, who lives in Missouri.

But last month, when the Supreme Court repealed Roe v. Wade, some patients in states like Missouri with abortion restrictions started losing access to medication.

While methotrexate is predominantly used to treat autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and IBD, at very high doses, it can be used to cause abortions.

It is often used to end ectopic pregnancies, a pregnancy that forms in the Fallopian tubes that isn't viable but can be fatal to the mother.

In states that ban abortion, some patients are struggling to access their medications if it can be used to end a pregnancy. Autoimmune-disease patients are among those becoming collateral damage in the war on abortion.

Noblin, 40, discovered that when she visited her local Walgreens pharmacy to pick her regular prescription.

She was left waiting for over six hours at her pharmacy in rural Missouri, where abortion is now banned. Eventually, a pharmacist told her that "because of the overturning of Roe v Wade, we are now required to get more information from your doctor," Noblin said.

She asked what kind of information was needed, finding it hard to fathom what could hold up a repeat prescription.

She was told the pharmacy needed to confirm that the methotrexate would be used for the "intended purposes" and wasn't being used to induce an abortion.

Hours later, she said, she was eventually given her medication.

"I was really, really angry," Noblin told Insider. "It was humiliating to be standing in front of a pharmacist begging for my medication."

"We've seen the pharmacist, and I know it's not her fault," Noblin said. "She's compelled to follow the policy, but to be told, essentially, 'We don't trust you to make the appropriate decisions for your health' is horrible."

She said it made her feel like she was doing "something illegal simply for taking medication to keep me alive."

What nonsense.

As a doctor, I am deeply disturbed by the bill being considered by the Indiana legislature. I’ve practiced medicine for 12 years and follow a code of ethics, so I know that medicine is not about exceptions. Every person deserves to have equal access to the best medical care.

People need to be able to make their own health decisions, elected politicians should not be the ones making those decisions. This bill will hurt my patients and Hoosiers are going to have worse health outcomes as a result.

Just last night in Kansas, also a Midwestern state, a majority of people voted to affirm that women have the right to make decisions about their own bodies and that those decisions are between them and their medical providers.

On behalf of the Hoosiers I care for each and every day, I hope elected leaders in Indiana reconsider and do what is right for my patients and our state as a whole.
