Trump's Bungling of Corona

Postby DonDeeHippy » 23 Mar 2020, 08:34

Trump resumes his criticism of China. He says he wished China “had told us three months sooner” about coronavirus. He adds that “we could have saved a lot of lives.”

He is such a fuckwit until last week he was saying it was a Hoax. People have know about Covid-19 since last year.
South Korea and the USA had their first infections on the same day in early January.... Korea responded right away and contained it... Trump is still just fumbling around...

He repeats accusations that he has made in the past that any problems are not down to him but rather than the “broken” system he inherited.

He doesn't mention the Pandemic and emergency branch he closed down 3 years ago because Obama initiated it.... such a wanker.....

Maybe his self-evident idiocy might get Seth to think again? Trump has destroyed huge areas of expertise in the US government.

Democrats in the U.S. Senate on Sunday blocked legislation that would pump well over $1 trillion into the American economy on programs to help companies losing business during the coronavirus outbreak and unemployed workers.

Democrats had raised objections to the Senate bill throughout the day, with the Senate’s top Democrat, Chuck Schumer, saying it had “many, many problems” and would benefit corporate interests at the expense of hospitals, healthcare workers, cities and states.

I don't believe it, Trump would never try to just give businesses lots of money and not hospitals and the people... they must be delusional…. :purple

Most of our lives have not been directly affected by war, hunger or financial strife. They were stories our parents and grandparents told us.
We listened to those stories and we pictured them in black and white. We thought we were the lucky generations.
We now face an enormous threat and it’s in colour. It is happening right now. It is global.
Fear and panic, of course feed on uncertainty and inconsistency and at the moment those ingredients abound.

This dill of a polly is just as bad as Trump, next thig he will be saying we are at war.. Trump is a self proclaimed wartime president now..... :purple

Just heard on the news, the trajectory of infected in the USA has the USA in a much worse position than Italy's trajectory was at the same period in time there.

I feel sorry for the Americans, they voted for trump. They'll pay dearly for that.

I don't understand it either.

Trump is so far out of his depth it's not funny.

In the interests of public health he should be removed from office immediately.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/ ... an-Patrick

As Donald Trump pushed to re-open the US economy in weeks, rather than months, the lieutenant governor of Texas went on Fox News to argue that he would rather die than see public health measures damage the US economy, and that he believed “lots of grandparents” across the country would agree with him.
“My message: let’s get back to work, let’s get back to living, let’s be smart about it, and those of us who are 70-plus, we’ll take care of ourselves,” Lt Gov Dan Patrick, a 69-year-old Republican, told Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Monday night.
“You know, Tucker, no one reached out to me and said, ‘As a senior citizen, are you willing to take a chance on your survival in exchange for keeping the America that all America loves for your children and grandchildren?’” Patrick said. “And if that’s the exchange, I’m all in.”
“That doesn’t make me noble or brave or anything like that,” he added. “I just think there are lots of grandparents out there in this country like me.”

Another yank that is a waste of space.. They would rather make a buck than face this... Really amazing. Especially after all the criticism's they gave Iran's handling of the Virus... Amazing... :OMG

He has been Called the Trump or Brazil many times for good reason

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/ ... edia-trick

Brazil’s far-right president, Jair Bolsonaro, has accused his political foes and the press of purposefully “tricking” citizens about the dangers of coronavirus, as Latin America braced for a spike in the number of deaths.
The pandemic has claimed nearly 15,000 lives across the globe and looks set to exact a deadly toll on Latin America in the coming weeks, with many regional governments closing borders and shutting down major cities in a desperate bid to limit the damage.
But Bolsonaro has resisted such drastic measures, dismissing media “hysteria” over coronavirus and calling the illness “a little flu”.
In a tetchy television interview on Sunday night Bolsonaro again downplayed the pandemic and attacked the governors of key states including Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo who have ordered residents to stay at home and are imposing quarantines.
“The people will soon see that they were tricked by these governors and by the large part of the media when it comes to coronavirus,” Bolsonaro said, as his own health officials announced 25 deaths and 1,546 cases of coronavirus in Brazil.

I'm so glad we have ScoMo making the hard decisions and keeping us safe...
We should all be grateful we have such a good government :purple

Talking about being Bat Shit crazy...

Iran's supreme leader refused American assistance to fight the new coronavirus citing a conspiracy theory claiming it could be man-made by the United States government.
Ayatollah Khamenei continued to berate the US on Sunday. "No one trusts you. You are capable of bringing into our country a drug that will keep the virus alive and prevent its eradication.
"The American leaders are liars, manipulators, impudent and greedy ... They are charlatans," he said, also labelling them "absolutely ruthless".

I am absolutely happy with Trump as my president. Not that everything about his personal style appeals to me, and not that I agree with everything he has done.

I do agree with most things he has done, and he is doing everything he possibly can to help us get through the corona virus.

And we will get through it, and we will emerge from it stronger than ever.

During a Feb. 28, 2020, campaign rally in South Carolina, President Donald Trump likened the Democrats' criticism of his administration's response to the new coronavirus outbreak to their efforts to impeach him, saying "this is their new hoax."

During the speech he also seemed to downplay the severity of the outbreak, comparing it to the common flu.
