Ah, right. Okay, I'll think of something.you didnt get the bonus... Alaska was right![]()
hehe, getting to where your scared to answer, just in case you get it right.....Ah, right. Okay, I'll think of something.
Semper Fidelis is their motto, but not their symbol.Motto: Semper Fidalis (Always faithful.)
You mean Native to North America. It's called a Northern Pikeminnow. They are native. But they are not good to eat. You can, but they are very bony, so no one wants them for food. They also aren't very sporting. When you hook one, it will pull once or twice and then give up. I've caught a bunch of them over the years, and they're all the same way.
The bounty is $2 per fish, and the reason is that they are predatory, and they eat salmon smolt.
They used to be called squawfish until the 1990s when that name became unacceptable.
It's actually his answer wording Piney, maybe pay a bit more attention.....considering he already said it was in a USA river in the QUESTION, why does he need to mention it's native to North America in the Answer ????You mean Native to North America.
Let's be a little better with our questions wording, please.
In the Columbia River, a certain fish actually has a bounty on it. The government will pay you to fish them out. What fish is that?
Bonus question for another $0, why?
The relevance there, Seth.?Some species in our waters are native species, and some are non-native species that have been introduced from other areas. The Northern Pikeminnow is native to the Northwest. Bass, walleye, and crappies are here, but they’re non-native.
Sorry. My bad.The relevance there, Seth.?
I am just saying questions should not based on the idea that we know your rivers.. for example. This IS an Australian site, despite the welcome presence of you Yanks. Do NOT assume .. be clear and precise...
It's only fair .
