no, you've only seen it plastered all over the news every time the libs win office. How many royal commissions into unions have we had now?
no idea, It holds no interest to me, I only go off of personal experience with unions and opinions or work colleague's and friends...

Unions made this country. Specifically ONE union, to begin with, and we need them more now than ever. That is my opinion.

What we don't need is more Bullies in the world... If unions can be structered around that i'd support them. Like every other organization they need to evolve to suit our current society.....

I agree about less bullies running things, but you are actually talking about the big corporate entities that do as they choose... they are the bullies... Unions have to play that stupid game because the 'powers that be'.. get rich exploiting and bullying their workforce...

attacking unionism... understand? Attacking Unionism... attacks the working person, whether you like that or not.
Governments here in OZ have been hellbent on undermining unionism, with success, sad to say.

People don't seem to realise that Unions are the only reason they get paid a reasonable wage... although that is seriously in doubt. Many people are ripped off by their employers.
Power rests with the bosses.

Unions need MORE members and MORE power. I'm no longer in the workforce, but if I were, I'd be in a UNION.

I've never subscribed to the idea it takes a bully to best a bully....Real leadership is not bullying, I don't care what kind of justification you use.... Any union organization i've had dealings had the worse Bulling, Entitled pricks I've ever met. As I said Unions need a huge culture change because, as you say they are very important for workers...

Unions need to sign up part time and casual workers and Labor needs to go hard against zero hour contracts and other scummy ways workers are exploited. No bigger need for a Labor government has existed for a long time.

Neoliberalism by Libs, Nats, Greens is killing the economy.
I thought zero hour contracts was just a UK phenomena!

For Unions to become relevant to most of the work force again they need to completely root out the scumbags running them and do a LOT of work with transparency and accountability....It's not the union that's the problem it's the leadership....
They need to run like any business and wheel and deal with any party that gives them the best deal!

Some Unions have in the past supported the Katter party.

I believed in the benefit off being a Union member but I never supported being forced to support Labor party social agenda.

Recruiting would improve if they dissociated themselves from the Labor Party!

I was a Union member for 30 years but they remembered my objection to many of the social policies... that was their justification for not making me an honorary member when I retired!

well I supported Unions and I still do, even though I am no longer a worker.

The problem IS NO we DON"T NEED PROFIT BUSINESS MODELS. What a thing to say..

As a member of a Union for at least 30 years ...the modern day Unionists cannot be trusted .. their Vote of unity doesn't amount to anything.

It has degenerated into what the business community have been striving for many decades!

The manipulation off the voting results isn’t no different to their nemesis, the CEO's of companies manipulating heir shareholders.

That is why I support that Union's should wheel and deal with anyone that gives them the best outcome!

You won't need unions anymore if you could just get Joe to move to Australia.

Here's Joe calling for a $15 million minimum wage. YAY!!!
