The U.S. Marshals Service Missing Child Unit, in conjunction with the agency’s Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Georgia state and local agencies, led a two-week operation in August in Atlanta and Macon, Georgia, to rescue endangered missing children.

"Operation Not Forgotten" resulted in the rescue of 26 children, the safe location of 13 children and the arrest of nine criminal associates. Additionally, investigators cleared 26 arrest warrants and filed additional charges for alleged crimes related to sex trafficking, parental kidnapping, registered sex offender violations, drugs and weapons possession, and custodial interference. The 26 warrants cleared included 19 arrest warrants for a total of nine individuals arrested, some of whom had multiple warrants.

Who gives a fuck about Trump, why isn't this the main news in USA at the moment ???????

Is Trump involved?

Or some of his friends, maybe?

Oh dear, Facebook again

Fact check: 39 missing children not found in Georgia trailer

"ATLANTA (NEXSTAR) — Over the weekend, you may have seen posts on Facebook asking why the story of 39 missing children found in a double-wide trailer in Georgia wasn’t being covered by the media."

"Plain and simple: because it didn’t happen that way."

"The story received nationwide coverage from news outlets including CNN, Fox News, CBS, NBC and ABC."

Why the hell do people continue to get their "news" from Facebook?

If you wanna see cats playing the piano, or kids kicking dad in the balls, fine - use Facebook.

But don't rely on it for legitimate news stories.

Where did you get the thread title from - Facebook?

It's false - 39 children were not found in a trailer.

I've read the entire thing: https://www.usmarshals.gov/news/chron/2020/082720.htm

There's no mention of a trailer, either single or double, or wide or narrow.
ahh it looks like a normal house, I didn't fact check where it happened only if it was real...Never trust a MEME and I did lol, well half trusted it, I did a search and only half read the Marshal report....
doesn't alter the fact they found 39 children that where being used in the sex trade and trafficking...

No, it doesn't change the fact that missing children have been found. It's a terrible story.

But why add the bit about the trailer?

Who did that, and why?

What did they hope to gain from it?

I just don't understand why people would lie about such a serious subject.

I think your thread title is still wrong.

The report says nothing about 39 children being found in one house.

It says that 26 children have been rescued, and another 13 have been located.

"Operation Not Forgotten" resulted in the rescue of 26 children, the safe location of 13 children and the arrest of nine criminal associates.

There's no mention of how many houses are involved though.

Just being pedantic, sorry ;)

Yeah.

I think what happened is this:

They saw photos of just one house being raided, and it looks a bit like a transportable home.

In America transportable homes are found in what they call 'trailer parks'.

We call them caravan parks. Americans call caravans trailers.

I think the person who created the Facebook meme jumped to conclusions:

"All 39 kids were found in the one trailer (transportable home). Bloody trailer trash!"

double wides are like the portable homes here in old people estates, like 2 livable shipping containers joined together...My grandparents in USA lived in one a little while and felt just like a house.... But yes I see your point in them blaming trailer trash...

Yeah.

I know someone in the US who lives in one.

When she first told me, I had no idea what she was talking about 😊
