Blumenthal became senior senator for the state. He won re-election in 2016 with 63.2% of the vote, becoming the first person to receive more than one million votes in a statewide election in Connecticut.

Looks like he apologized and his next election won by a huge amount, his voters forgave him......
Yeah, he apologized after he was caught. Pfft!

We would say things like: “This is an outbreak. Infectious diseases run their own course unless one does something to intervene.” And then he would get up and start talking about, “It’s going to go away, it’s magical, it’s going to disappear.”

Very interesting interview with Tony Fauci .He and his family had numerous death threats and probably needed surgery after biting his tongue ...
This just shows how totally inept the president was and to blame for most of the Trump Flu deaths.....

Well, as you guys all know, pre-Covid, I said Trump would lose the 2020 election. Trump's performance with Covid sealed the deal for good.

It's not really what he did about Covid, because he did a lot of good things. It's what he said about Covid. The record is full of dumb things he said about the virus.

With 20-20 hindsight, we know that if we had it to do all over again, we would do things differently. No argument. But, of course, we didn't have 20-20 hindsight, and I still do not believe that if Biden or Clinton or whoever had been the President instead of Trump that we would have stopped the contamination of the U.S. or contained its spread any better. Nobody understood the contagiousness and deadliness of this virus back in January, 2020. We've had Asian flues before, but nothing like this in the modern age. And the public, the Democrats, the Republicans took it as no big deal at first. Biden pooh-poohed the travel ban from China as "hysterical xenophobia", and Nancy Pelosi invited everyone to come to Chinatown, San Francisco, and shop and dine and have a good time. No need to stay home. No need to hurt the Chinatown economy. In a way, it's funny and sad that the public instinctively knew better than she did. Within weeks after she said that, SF was turned into a ghost town.

I'm sure working for Trump was challenging to say the least, lol ...

Helped spread it around by telling his supporters to ignore the restrictions, not use masks and holding rallies where he crammed them in like sardines thereby increasing the chances of it spreading ..... I agree, he did lots of good ... if his intentions were to kill off as many of his supporters as he could

I just found out he donated $850,000 to anti-vaxers.

There is nothing Trump did that was good about C-19, every chance he got he discredited it, he was so paranoid it was a plot to loose the election... as the interview points out... he listened to friends instead of doctors and science... Remember he put pence in charge and for 4 months they never even had a meeting about it because of the election..... this was during the time when infection and deaths where really getting bad.... even the monetary help was suspended for months because of his election, from the start he also divided state against state and supported untried cures... He didn't do one good thing.....

It wasn't like he was busy he went Golfing every 3rd day, if he just didn't play golf at the tax payers expense at his own resorts he might of done some good......

Five top anti-vaccine advocacy organisations that have spread medical misinformation throughout the COVID-19 pandemic received funding from the Trump administration’s Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), The Washington Post reported Monday.

The loans from the Small Business Administration totalled more than $US850,000, according to the report.

They have mostly always been that way.. not sure why. Perhaps it is just a position to take, so you don't have to talk about other stuff.?

Misdirection, misinformation and obfuscation.

Most normal .. aka you and me.. people can see the writing on the wall.

Expect a huge swelling of religious cults.. Hillsong must be praising itself to Heaven...
Oh well it is coming up on the end of days.. ::cute::cute:angelic:angelic:angelic

The US federal government under the new president, Joe Biden, does not know exactly how many doses of coronavirus vaccines are in the federal supply or immediately incoming right now.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki just said that the administration was in a mode of “eyes wide open” about the lack of organized plan it inherited from the Trump administration on vaccine supplies, distribution and administration (shots actually getting into arms).

“We knew we were not walking into circumstances where there was going to be a concrete plan presented to us,” she said.

The new head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Rochelle Walensky, said this morning that the agency “does not know how much vaccine we have or how much is coming [from producers Pfizer and Moderna] in the next two to three weeks.”

Another huge Trump fail........

@DonDeeHippy

Are you “But Trumping”?

Don’t make me say it! Don’t make me!

Why should ANY administration be so befuddled by the distribution of a vaccine?

Do we not already have a process for distributing other vaccines? Yes, we do.

Here’s a novel thought. How about if the federal government simply butts out of the process altogether and, instead, leaves it to the states and to the system of distribution THAT ALREADY EXISTS.

All the federal government can do is add a layer of bureaucracy, slowing and screwing up the process.

The federal government should see to it that the military and federal employees get vaccinated, and otherwise stay out of it.

no... Trump leaving office with no organized plans for something is completely different to projecting how a person might of acted if president.....

Yup all state governments should go or not be involved with nation wide issue's, crazy a imaginary border dictates on how someone is treated......

One second your talking about how great Trump's actions where with C-19 then defending him when he has done nothing.... please make up your mind.....

This is a pandemic, Seth. Not an isolated outbreak in one or two states in a single country.

Don't you understand the difference?
