Sweden has recorded its highest daily caseload since June. A total of 752 new cases were recorded on Thursday, its highest daily rise since 30 June when the health agency registered just over 800 new cases.

That experiment has failed....

yeah ..I suspect that Sweden only had a lull in cases of COvid because of their summer. Low population densities spending their time outdoors (with 8 weeks of holiday break thrown in there) .... with the cooler weather heading their way and people moving indoors again, watch the number of dead by covid rise ... I reackon they'll get close to if not surpass last winters death toll.

Recorded new infections have continued to go UP in most European cities , mind you we don't hear much here.
Not to mention the USA.

Now the Prez and the MRSPREZ are reportedly positive.
FANCY THAT.?

It isn't over yet people.

yeah what you said. 🤔

So.. over a million deaths world-wide, and rising, and over 200,000 deaths in the US alone, and rising.

Lets us also remember that Europe is also in pretty dire straits. And data is limited on Asian African and South American areas.

Not getting any better is it.?
We are fortunate.
Here, of course we have advantages .. NO land borders for one, State borders YES. and I have to commend the pressure withstood by Premiers of Vic and QLD to stick to their guns.

Sad that people are so stupid really, isn't it.? :ROFL1

'Cos lots of people CHOOSE to ignore anything other than their own individual wants and needs.

Never watch the News, or buy a paper, or even have a smidgen of interest... these people are everywhere.
Some are just simply ignorant, and some others are willfully ignorant.!

Like those stupid people who won't give their names to Police. I mean really..? What's with that.? I never have a problem owning who I am..... and it just beggars belief that somehow this is an issue..??

New cases of coronavirus in the US hit a two-month high on Friday with over 58,000 new infections reported and hospitalisations in the Midwest at record levels for a fifth day in a row, according to a Reuters analysis.

Ten of the 50 states reported record one-day rises in cases on Friday, including the Midwestern states of Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri and Ohio. Wisconsin and Illinois recorded over 3,000 new cases for a second day in a row - a two-day trend not seen even during the height of the previous outbreak in the spring.

The Western states of Montana, New Mexico and Wyoming also reported their biggest one-day jumps in cases, as did Oklahoma and West Virginia.

Nineteen states have seen record increases in new cases so far in October.

Wow the States still have a long way to go.... Doesn't help their head of state is such a bad example.....

Tasmanian Premier Peter Gutwein has released his government's border strategy, deferring a decision on whether the state will open to New South Wales at the same time as other low-risk jurisdictions
Travellers from Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, the Australian Capital Territory and the Northern Territory will be permitted to enter Tasmania without being required to quarantine.
"We are continuing to monitor the situation in NSW closely," Mr Gutwein said at a media conference on Tuesday morning.

And they are getting into the colder months. Recent news says that the virus is happy in cooler temps, and can last up to 28 days on surfaces we may touch.

Over 30 degrees C it is less happy, and heat of 40 C can take it out. I suspect we'll see if this is true in coming months. I just saw 7,756,000 as the number of infected people .. jeez I thought at first that was just the US, but then the info was replaced.

yeah and they can keep the temps controlled without too much trouble. Might take a toll on your power bill.. ie air con.... BUT it is doable if necessary.
